3 Things I Know For Sure, Doing This Work – a Seattle Wedding Officiant, 2024…

Good day, Darlings!

As I move into a full Seattle/Puget Sound summer of scipt writing, details, rehearsals, officiating and more, here are 3 things I know for sure.

  1. This Officiant work is a privilege. It’s a vocation.  It’s all more of ‘that’ and less of a job.  If you do this work as a job, it won’t work.
  2. As much as you look at me, I look at you.  Are we a good fit?  Do we like each other?  Could we be friends?  And if we are very different, how do we find common ground, understanding and friendship in our differences?
  3. As much as I am a Wedding Officiant & Minister, I am a doggie mama to a home of rescued loved ones, who often come from the worst of the worst backgrounds.  This is my soul work.  Loving and serving dogs who have been through hell gives me purpose in this world, and helps me do better in the world of weddings…with a more open, compassionate and accepting heart.

Okay, that’s it for today.  BAM!
