It’s always my happiness to leave a wedding ceremony with a happy feeling in my heart, knowing our crazy and wonderful world is blessed by the gifts of two beautiful people and their loving relationship.
When I left Michael and Chandra after their ceremony at Novelty Hill Januik Winery in Woodinville, on August 28, 2021, there was a pep in my step.
Simply, we did it. Screw Covid. Forget the postponements. The disappointments. The changes.
Michael and Chandra navigated their wedding story with grace, kindness and a fun-loving spirit. It doesn’t mean the road to their wedding day was without unexpected planning bumps, no fault of their own.
But what Michael and Chandra offered to me, their family and their guests, was a sweet acceptance of ‘what is.’ We all enjoyed their ceremony and wedding day, because they led the way. We took a page from their joy. We left with the knowing that for a moment in time, on their wedding day, all was right with the world.
My 2021 has been filled with couples, who like Michael and Chandra, moved their wedding date from 2020 to 2021. It’s been filled with a wide range of emotions and unexpected planning curve balls. It’s been a challenging time with pivots that sometimes make sense, and pivots that don’t make sense at all.
Thank you, Michael and Chandra.
For reminding me why I love this work that I do so much.
For modeling for all of us the grace of a loving relationship, and for leaving a wonderful legacy of beautiful memories from your wedding ceremony, (can you say wedding ceremony selfie?!), and more.
