Interviewing & Selecting Your Wedding Officiant Can Be A Weird Thing. I Get It.

I fully get that seeking out an Officiant for your wedding ceremony – someone you don’t know – can be a weird deal.

What will they do?

How will they sound?

What will they wear?

…and so much more.

Over the years, I have fielded zillions of questions from engaged couples as they try to figure out who is the best fit to deliver their wedding ceremony on their big day.

It’s a challenge.  It’s easy. A paradox of sorts.

So, here is the deal.  Interview 3 Officiants.  Ask your questions.  Ask a complicated or hard question – feel out how the Officiant reacts and how he/she answers something that may be challenging or sensitive.

Every Officiant does this work differently, there is no right or wrong way to do a ceremony.

At the end of a day, it’s about trust.  It’s about competence. It’s about the feeling of ‘yes, I like this person!,’ as you have your conversations.

If I can be helpful, I am here.
